John Mills Times Ten is a stylistic panorama of compositions, all from the imagination of tenor saxophonist and award-winning jazz composer Dr. John Mills, and he keeps the company of nine of the very finest players on the scene, most of whom have been performing and recording with TIMES TEN from day one. The 10-piece band’s lineup offers all the colors of a jazz big band, but explores material that takes a big leap beyond that tradition, hitting far-ranging points funky, mysterious and soulful. Get ready to reconsider just what the “Austin Sound” might be.
