Anna Altman is an American alternative-rock duo from New York founded by Lucia Arias and Christian Billard (members of the Brooklyn psych-rock band, Turnip King). The ex-Silent Barn regulars (and Queens/Long Island natives) have cultivated their own cult following in the world of New York DIY and indie-rock while also citing bands like Red House Painters, Guided By Voices, and Barbara Manning as major influences. Anna Altman's 37-minute long album, "Freightliner", was released on tape cassette through Exploding In Sound Records in March 2017- later re-released on compact disc in 2019 via EIS. They are currently based in London and New York, and have been crowned one of "NYC's Hardest Working Bands of 2018" by Oh My Rockness.
