Wieuca is never minimalist. Since 2012, the group has been soaking twang, heavy beats and abstract sampling in heavy, textured layers of sound. Over their 14 releases (to date), the prolific foursome has plugged that aesthetic into styles ranging from alt-country to triphop to full-blown psychedelic freakout. The Baby Boys, as their followers call them, continue to expand their sound with frequent collaborations including tracks with Brooklyn rapper JAVAE, Georgia country artist Zach Wright, and many more.
