ZONA TANGO is an eclectic force blending tango, jazz, bossa nova, Argentine folk and modern elements.

Lead by outstanding composer, arranger and multinstrumentalist PEDRO MENENDEZ, unquestioned referent of the avant-garde fusion style in Argentina, ZONA TANGO is a project that has gone beyond all the traditional limits.

With a vast discography and a long career of international live performances in Latin America, North America, Europe and Taiwan, Pedro Menendez returns to SXSW after multiple appearances since his US premiere in 2008, this year with a challenging format for the trio: ZONA TANGO “ACOUSTIC”, new piano based versions able to keep reflecting subtlety, creativity, rhythm and reminiscences of Buenos Aires cadences.
