The Creek and the Cave

This performance is part of the showcase that starts on Saturday, March 16at The Creek and the Cave

Reigning from just outside of Dallas, current Austin artist, Harry Edohoukwa has begun to make some noise in the rising Austin hip-hop and R&B scene. Blending together funk, hip-hop and R&B into his own style based on his prevalent influences of James Brown, Beres Hammond & Kid Cudi, Harry looks to tell his story and connect with others through his lyrics and personal energy.

Two of Harry’s most important aspects of life is his family and positively enjoying the present moment with others. Harry’s parents emigrated from Nigeria many years ago in pursuit of creating a different landscape for their children than what they were presented with. A very tough move for them to make and adopt to a completely different lifestyle, language and general societal expectations.

However, his road to becoming an artist has been tough. His parents, having sacrificed so much, expect a career path of stability and opulence, such as a doctor or engineer. For Harry, his heart has brought him down a different road. These challenges of life purpose and parental support exists in many other people. He is here to share his story and triumphs head on with a middle finger fixed firmly toward the devil.
