It’s hard to believe Atlanta by-way-of New Britain, CT rapper Yukon is only 24. His poetic content sounds like that of a man double his age that’s seen and heard it all. From being a college dropout to experiencing homelessness, it was clear from the start that this was not your everyday artist. The prolific lyricist is looking to jumpstart a cultural revolution through his unique musical style. By magnetically fusing hip-hop, r&b, pop and grunge rock into a genre all his own, Yukon is emerging as one of the most anticipated debut artists in any art form.
As a kid, the young MC was heavily into basketball and gaming. He dabbled in music throughout his early school years, but his skills with a controller took precedence over his other talents. As a result, the family relocated from the east coast to down south to pursue opportunities in the gaming space for Yukon and his brother. For the teenager, playing videogames was an escape.
