Whether it was the instances of poetic wordplay over classic instrumentals that benchmark groups like The Roots consistently put on display, or the grungy street lyricism that flooded the same rap DVD cypher scene where artists like Meek Mill were born, Mus had developed an ear. An ear that could stand different types of crowds. An ear that was not objective, but subjective. An ear that is more common in today’s music. An ear that was open to all realms of music. As tactical as they are near genius with timing on each release, Mus Matos and his team ensure every drop entices both new and returning listeners. Subsequently, Mus has been able to amass over 2 Million plays from only ten releases and has performed alongside artists such as: The Dream, PNB Rock, Mesago, Cousin Stizz, Jourdan Banks, Dougie F, and Maxo Kream.
