Mahya Veray is a Puerto Rican artist, singer, songwriter and film producer that marks in her tones and melodies the Caribbean beat composed by the tropical magic that characterizes the island. Mahya, is the daughter of multiculturalism being the child of a Puerto Rican father and a Spanish mother. Growing up between the amalgamate of cultures and being the niece of one of the best Puerto Rican composers, Amaury Veray (composer of “Villancico Yaucano”), generated in her soul a fervor passion for music since she was a little girl. Also, as an infant, Mahya understood the importance and the role of music; it unites, shakes the spirit, and encourage even the shy and modest hearts to dance and animate their own existence.
The music of Mahya is latin fusion that drifts to an interweave of music genres as salsa, latin jazz, bolero, bomba, plena, rumba, merengue, rythm and blues.
Emotions, spiritual vibes, warmth, and affections are many of the sensations that are transmitted through her strong and unique songs. Mahya has one of the best voices of Puerto Rico.
