TEDx Sydney
A good TED talk distills large, complicated concepts into short, easily understood presentations - something we see as analogous to the essence of title design. For TEDx Sydney, one of the world's largest TEDx events, Substance director Scott Geersen crafted a sequence that reconstructs the spirit of unconventionality into something simple and playful, elementary but eloquent.
A collection of primary shapes (cubes, spheres & pyramids) forms a whimsically educational display, with the object's character manifesting the unconventional through the unexpected, and not simply the contrary. Joyfully toy-like, this echoes the wonder and excitement we often feel when taught by a great TEDx speaker.
