Discouraged by a pandering shampoo bottle inscription, Abnie Oberfork, a precocious twelve-year-old girl, seeks validation from her parents. When neither her mother’s absurdity nor her father’s partial wikipedia quotes can assuage her, a mysterious pickle jar offers Abnie an escape from the malaise of childhood, to become pickled. Unfortunately, this only perpetuates Abnie’s despair.
