Signal in the Noise: Interacting with Big Data in VR
“Signal” is a virtual reality live interaction experiment, exploring how VR will change the way business users can interact with big amounts of real-time data. A 3D environment, as abstract as it can be, feels more natural to the human mind than a conventional user interface and makes it easier to understand and handle large amounts of data. Within the VR-environment, data is visualized and clustered by algorithms, behavioral patterns, allocations, and their n-dimensional dependencies. Leveraging the user’s spatial comprehension, "Signal" allows the user to get a different view and understanding on the overall displayed data. Literally feeling the data, the user can interact with and manipulate data in real-time while training an autonomously acting AI for future decisions.
