Marissa Gastelum is a music industry veteran with more than 17 years in the business. She is currently a Latin Music Programmer at Apple Music who specializes on Latin Pop, Regional Mexican and Latin Alternative. There she programs playlists, radio stations and genre pages. Gastelum was previously at BMI where she signed Gerardo Ortíz, Carla Morrison, Eden Muñoz of Calibre 50, and La Santa Cecilia among others. There she also signed music publishers, coordinated shows and events, moderated panels and helped songwriters/artists achieve their goals. During her years at Peermusic she assisted with catalog songwriters as well as their heirs and songwriters such as Juanes, Mickey from Molotov, and Paco from Fobia among others. Gastelum got her start at legendary Latin alternative magazine, La Banda Elástica Magazine.
