William Kendall is a an Emmy®-nominated writer-producer, media+tech startup co-founder, and senior content development executive creating at the forefront of multi-platform storytelling for studios, networks, and online video platforms such as CBS, NBCUniversal, MGM, SyFy, MTV, Hulu, YouTube, and Amazon.
As an artist-entrepreneur equally at home in a Silicon Valley boardroom and Hollywood writers’ room, Kendall specializes in lean content strategy and rapid prototyping, I.P. development and worldbuilding, and immersive experience design to connect audience-participants across established and emerging storyworld platforms.
His multi-platform credits include: groundbreaking scripted TV and digital series including UNDER THE DOME and BATTLESTAR GALACTICA; award-winning interactive games like THE HULK and CHRONICLES OF RIDDICK; digital-first narrative collabs with YouTuber’s Ryan Higa’s (AGENTS OF SECRET STUFF) and BlackBoxTV (THE FEED); and the content strategy and launch for international soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo’s official digital presence.
In motion pictures, he’s currently developing a genre slate with screenwriter Mark Victor (Poltergeist), who has a new OUTER LIMITS film in development at MGM.
Kendall graduated with honors from Stanford University, and is a member of the Television Academy, StoryForward (formerly Transmedia LA), and WGA-West. He mentors for the GVS Transmedia Accelerator in Hawaii, founded the Venice XR Storytellers, and served as co-project lead and mentor at the AFI Digital Content Lab. Recent panel moderating and speaking engagements include Digital Hollywood, SxSW, and AFI Fest. Venice Beach is home, and often his outdoor office.
