For this special session, Superchunk co-founders Laura Ballance and Mac McCaughan will be joined by local writer Austin Kleon to discuss the making of and motivation behind What a Time to Be Alive, the newest album by the innovative North Carolina rock ’n’ roll band—their first in nearly five years—as well as Merge Records, the highly respected and influential independent label McCaughan and Ballance launched in 1989.
