Hardware has always played a critical role in blockchain technology by threading the needle with scalability, security and privacy, starting with the first CPUs and GPUs used for mining. As more people have started participating, we’ve seen a democratization of power to run the network, where anyone has the ability to validate transactions and earn rewards. As the software continues to mature, so has the hardware. Hardware and software are meeting in more interesting places, where use cases of the open ledger are becoming reality.
