From A Movement To CIO: One Happy Island Innovates
Learn how a group of four entrepreneurs, innovators and dreamers decided that by building an ecosystem for tech and innovation in Aruba, you can lead and guide a country into becoming a leader in tech and innovation in the Caribbean and South America. What started out as a movement, by raising awareness through meetups, presentations, and the ATECH Conference, quickly became a standard and leading example that was quickly adopted by the island's larger and most influential institutions such as the Central Bank of Aruba and the Aruba Tourism Authority. Ultimately, this group of four has been recognized for their important work of the past three years and as of December 2017 will assist the Government of Aruba into guiding the country in the age of innovation and digital transformation. To lead this amazing project the Government of Aruba has named ATECH co-founder Varelie Croes as Aruba's first Chief Innovation Officer. Find out how it all started, the steps it took, and how you can achieve great results by being aligned with your team, country, and purpose. Varelie will be joined by co-founder and president of ATECH Foundation Tristan Every, and GM of Economic Policy at the Central Bank of Aruba Ryan Peterson.
