In 2015, world leaders adopted 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to reduce inequality, combat climate change and build more inclusive and resilient societies by 2030. This bold, universal agenda aims to leave no one behind, but can only be accomplished by equally bold individual and international collective action.
The panel will explore how the SDGs will revolutionize the way we include, empower and inspire people through technology and innovation. We'll introduce citizen engagement tools from the UN SDG Action Campaign; feature Oslo's city government strategy – where the SDGs are baked into the city budget, discuss entrepreneurial approaches to inclusion and show how social media can break through barriers to amplify the voices of the most marginalized people in the world.
