Cities are getting smarter by the day, leveraging technology and data to improve city life.
In 2017 Mayor Sadiq Khan appointed the capital’s first Chief Digital Officer, Theo Blackwell, with no easy mandate: to make London “the world’s smartest city”. Theo brings extensive public and private sector experience to the job, including working for Camden council and advising start-ups. Katherine Oliver created the original Municipal Chief Digital Officer position in New York City in 2011 under Mayor Bloomberg. Through her work at Bloomberg Associates, Katherine now advises city governments globally on civic innovation and technology.
Join Theo and Katherine as they sit down for a candid discussion about building a game plan, smart city trends, and what Theo’s got in store for London.
