Journalism in the Age of Trump: Ta-Nehisi Coates in Conversation with Jeffrey Goldberg
Ta-Nehisi Coates, national correspondent for The Atlantic, best-selling author, and current scribe of Black Panther comics, is one of the preeminent journalists of his generation. At once poignant, scathing, and deeply introspective, Coates’s reporting for The Atlantic has launched enduring national debates about race and racism, justice, and the character of American society.
Join Coates and The Atlantic’s editor in chief Jeffrey Goldberg for a wide-ranging discussion of the experiences that have shaped Coates’s life and work. Guided by themes set out across Coates’s tone-setting work, this keynote will dig into everything from race relations and the political fabric of America to pop culture and comic books. Session will be simulcast to Ballroom BC at the Austin Convention Center, as well as Room 5 at the JW Marriott.
