Journalism in the Age of Terrorism
In the era of ISIS the danger of reporting from conflict zones increases as reliable news decreases. Misinformation begins when journalists are threatened and prevented from doing their work; without reporting, alternate facts fester. As terrorism and propaganda increase worldwide we experience the consequences of diminished investigative reporting from war-torn regions. What is the impact on society when social media fills the void and facts are hard to verify?
