Bill Adair is the Pulitzer Prize-winning creator of PolitiFact and now serves as the Knight Professor of Journalism and Public Policy at Duke University. After launching PolitiFact in 2007, he built it into the largest fact-checking organization in the world. He also co-founded the global association of fact-checkers, the International Fact-Checking Network. He worked 24 years as a reporter and editor for the Tampa Bay Times and covered Congress, the White House and aviation safety. He directs the journalism program at Duke and is leading the Tech & Check Cooperative, a $1.2 million research project to automate fact-checking.
