VR & AR are often accused of being fads, however they are part of a larger story - volumetric production. Photo realistic 3D environments and characters are being viewed for the first time through immersive mediums utilizing cutting edge tools and pipelines from the visual effects and video game industries. We will discuss volumetric production as it benefits the narrative space and present case studies of VR productions utilizing this approach.
