Through food, Americans are mobilizing to fill the voids left by political inaction and challenging destructive policies affecting people from marginalized communities (race, religion, & gender). From ordinary citizens to startup founders, from amateur cooks to celebrity chefs, people are creating food-centric initiatives to empower Americans and strengthen communities. In this session, we discuss these grassroots initiatives spearheaded by Americans and their life-changing impacts.
