Carnegie Mellon University Robotics Institute
By the year 2040, there will be more people on the planet than food to feed them. Researchers want to change that: a sustainable solution to the emerging world food crisis is sprouting in an artificial intelligence (AI) lab in Carnegie Mellon University's Robotics Institute. Much more than a four-wheeled "robot for agriculture," FarmView is a multidisciplinary research project to develop AI technologies that will improve plant breeding and crop management through automated decision tools.
