There are now alternative sources of music financing available to artists of all types. Fan-based crowdfunding, private investors, and other options have emerged to give artists new tools to self-finance their career outside of the traditional label/publisher system. We explore the disruption in music industry funding with those leading the charge to level the playing field for artists/songwriters looking to take control of their financial future.
