Food plays a central role in economic development, health and culture. The growing movement toward healthy regional food systems produces benefits for local producers and consumers, but largely overlooks low-income communities of color. This session highlights examples of how diverse communities are using food as a platform for creative neighborhood revitalization, through creative placemaking, enterprise development and improved access to healthy, affordable food.
