We've heard about high-quality hyperlocal digital media and their potential to create sustainable journalism. We discuss a new approach: Creating daily digital news laser-focused on demography rather than geography. Stern discusses her work as director of PBS Next Avenue, which serves millions of older adults. Mersey discusses her research on Al Jazeera's AJ+, which brings international news to millennials. Both platforms create audience-focused media that's necessary, meaningful and authentic.
