Social Media platforms are using AI to flag news posts for accuracy. Journalists are using AI tools to supplement their traditional tools. Yet, AI alone may not be able to solve all the problems caused by “fake news.” Social media platforms are also partnering with traditional news organizations to tackle the problem. This panel will examine how AI can be used to counter fake news, how platforms can work with journalists to create trustworthy systems, and the implications for consumers.
