UNESCO Media Arts Exhibition - Passage (Variation) by Luke Savisky

Date TBA

A flickering multi-layered white light sculpture emanating from multiple 16mm projectors forms a mysterious and illusory three dimensional vertical doorway, invoking the bare essence of cinema. The pulsing character of the projector light itself and the inherent associative power of the shape of the projector aperture stimulate memory, perception and illusion in this intimate sculptural piece.

This art installation is part of the UNESCO Media Arts Exhibition highlighting Austin’s status as a Creative Media Arts City. The exhibition comprises a mini-showcase of media art installations at the SXSW Cities Summit and the Fairmont.
