James "GO DJ JB" Nelson was born in Opealousas, La. and developed a love of music at an early age. JB was just 7 years old when he realized he wanted to be a Dj listening to WGCI, Chicago's radio station, he heard underground and party DJs spinning and scratching records. His favorite was DJ Jazzy Jeff because Jeff made the turntable an instrument. Since moving to Austin, TX in 1989, JB has studied "The Magnificent" (as well as many other DJs including DJ Screw and Jam Master Jay RIP) and made his own take of the craft. In 1999, DJ JB brought his talent to Grambling State University where he was a Radio Dj and Host. GO DJ JB started on his tour DJ life with the Austin-based super group, The LOEGZ, then with Black Cobain on MMG’s Meek Mill and Wale Tours respectively. He was also on the Smoker’s club tour with G-Jet through out Canada and the US in the summer of 2016. He is also a member of the region's most influential DJ groups, the GO DJ's, BlackFire DJs, and is a League DJ. Go DJ JB still remains humble throughout all of his success and like he says, STILL GRINDS.....
