Coup d'épée

In 2013, Corridor formed and released their inaugural EP, Un magicien en toi, a guitar pop statement of driving, exploratory rock rife with feverish melodies and spaced-out inclinations. Two years later, the band released their debut LP, Le voyage éternel, produced by Emmanuel Ethier (Chocolat, Bernhari, Peter Peter). In 2016, the quartet embarked on their first European tour and returned to the studio with Emmanuel Ethier — already — to record Supermercado, a second effort brimming with highly detailed guitar pop where repetition, evolving minimal beats melodic layering and counterpoints yield exhilarating vertical mosaics. It was released in 2017 on Michel Records + Requiem Pour Un Twister, and led the band to European shores once more. It appeared on Indie charts across two continents (Québec, Canada, France, US, UK), Noisey declared that ''Corridor Made the Best French Record of 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2021 (in 2022, Earth Explodes)'' and CISM radio named it Best French Album of the Year. Single "Coup d’épée" also reached #1 on SiriumXM's Attitude Franco channel. So things are definitely on the up and up. Music for smart people, you could say.
