Cirque Noir DJ Set, or Kamyar Ansari, is the visionary behind the dark musical circus of Cirque Noir. Born in Houston, Texas he quickly returned to his roots in Tehran to form some of his earliest musical memories. His parents kept him on a diet of Deep Dish, Danny Howels, and Behrouz, and while he always appreciated their musical taste, he didn’t realize it would come full circle. Between growing up in the underground party scene of Iran, listening to music with childhood friends and future producers Amirali and Of the Moon, and throwing parties in his college town of Kirenia, Cyprus, Kamyar was establishing a strong foundation for his vision and taste — eventually taking it back to Houston to create Cirque Noir in the absence of a sufficient House music scene. Since then, Kamyar has had the pleasure of playing alongside the likes of Kate Simko, Tiefschwarz, SuperFlu, Blondish, Desert Hearts, and Monkey Safari. Over 2 years since conception his goal remains steadfast - creating a community through art and music while celebrating the beautiful and the dark.
