J Creek
Authenticity is a rare quality that everyone respects – especially in the music industry. While R&B, Hip-Hop, and Pop hopefuls often conform to current trends to grasp relevancy, singer- songwriter J-Creek is kicking down the door with his own
uniquely authentic sound.
J-Creek, born Dwight D. Brown II., is a multi-talented singer- songwriter born in Tampa, F.L., to high-school sweethearts Dwight Brown Sr. and Marilyn Davis. His parents were a young hard-working couple that simply wanted to provide their children
with a better life than their own.
As a youth, natural-born entertainer J-Creek loved singing, dancing, sports, day dreaming about being famous, and as most
growing boys, he loved the girls and the girls loved him.
Being an only child, he looked up to and idolized his older cousin, Kenny “The Godfather”, as if he were his brother. Kenny represented the alluring lifestyle that was typically associated with rap artists, so a young J-Creek, immediately found
inspiration in his cousin.
Kenny instilled in J. Creek the belief in self as he informed his
younger cousin of his unique sound at the age of 7.
