Jesse Mitchell at University Avenue Church of Christ
Jesse Mitchell Biography: Jesse Mitchell II is a Rapper turned Christian Rapper, turned Contemporary Christian Recording Artist and Songwriter. Jesse was born in Lockhart, TX. He began writing and performing Rap Music at the age of 11. He formed a rap group called, “The Bomb Squad Syndicate” with some of his classmates at Milby High School. His group would enter high school and citywide talent shows and blow away the competition. Jesse would go on to sign with Top Rank Records in association with Lil Flip's Sucka Free Records. This would open up doors for more exposure and opportunities. It was then that Jesse decided to quit his lifelong passion for music and dedicate his life to God. After 5 years of seeking the Lord, Jesse felt the call of God about him pursuing his music career again. Jesse began to minister through Christian Rap and embraced the name “Dat Boy Jesse.” After a life-altering experience with God Jesse joined Lakewood Church in Houston Texas. It is there where he began to grow closer to God and begin to develop as a worshipper. Jesse soon dropped "Dat Boy" from his name and just called himself Jesse Mitchell. His music began to transform to include Worship in Song along with his Worship in Rap. His "Broken" Cd available now on all Digital Outlets showcases both styles.
