Vectorvision was developed by Dallas based, dentist by day and producer/DJ by night, Brian Bishop. As a vinyl record and vintage synth collector, Bishop has long had an ear to the ground, searching out obscure sounds and obsolete technology to shape his vision. The retro futuristic sound of Vectorvision is difficult to pin down. Record reviews and descriptions vary from Japanese sounding Electrofunk and Acid-laced Dutch Electro to comparisons to 80's French Library music artists like Sauveur Mallia or as a recent promoter described it, "Front 242 meets Yellow Magic Orchestra." With songs appearing on T.R.U. Records, a Texas artist focused label, and also on London based Legwork Records, Vectorvision is beginning to make its unique vision known.
