Branjae
Branjae is the birth child of classic Soul, Funk, & Gospel. A culmination of lyrical layers, melodic rhythms & dynamic theatrical performances, it is clear why she has developed a loyal following. Her voice is reminiscent of the likes of Lauryn Hill & Nina Simone, while her stage presence reflects Tina Turner & Janelle Monáe. She was born in the city of Motown & rooted in the place of the Gap Band & Leon Russell. She has established herself as a singer-songwriter/entertainer while winning awards like Absolute Best of Tulsa voted by fans.
Branjae has developed a wealth of experience as an entertainer. She has opened or collaborated with the legendary, Wayman Tisdale, Singer-songwriter, Brian Mcnight, Thundercat, Fishbone, NOLA's Dirty Dozen Brass Band and many more. Crafting her style and creating her own lane, Branjae gained notoriety in the midwest region, & later gained national airplay with her soulful, heartfelt ballot, "Didn't Know". Branjae has channeled raw emotions of life, failures & success into relatable parallels far beyond entertainment. Look for her new mini track, “Everybody Needs” , a soulful, slow tempo groove reminding us of our common need. LOVE.
