Allman Brown is a London-based singer songwriter who announced himself back in 2013 with the emotive and poignant single Sons and Daughters, a collaboration with fellow Londoner Liz Lawrence.
Born in Hong Kong where he lived for eleven years before moving to London, Brown finds inspiration in a diverse range of writers, filmmakers and musicians. Musical artists that have directly impacted his style include Bruce Springsteen, Justin Vernon, Ryan Adams, James Vincent McMorrow, Bob Dylan, Tracy Chapman and Sufjan Stevens to name but a few. Much like these lauded artists, Brown has never been afraid to incorporate new and different styles into his own music. The likes of Ancient Light and Palms, for example, represent a sojourn into the world of soft and subtle electronica, whilst never losing the emotional honesty of the folk-influenced songs that his audience initially embraced.
It's a formula and approach that has paid dividends throughout Brown's career. His songs have been featured on high profile blogs such as Indie Shuffle, Hillydilly and CLASH, well known Spotify playlists and numerous TV dramas including Criminal Minds, Suits and The Good Doctor.
