Half Stack at 720 Club Patio

Date TBA

Dually

Half Stack is a five-piece band from Oakland. The Band’s
sound blends Cosmic American Music with the harsher sounds of the East
Bay Area music scene. Following the release of its 2016 EP, Half Stack
has been hard at work touring and recording its first full-length
album.

Formed from a desire to combine the outlaw country and psychedelic music of
the late 1960’s with modern indie rock sounds, Half Stack
has developed its own undeniably modern fusion. While drawing on
influences such as The Byrds and The Grateful Dead, the band blends
these with the sounds of Oakland music scene. From dually trucks to
remote country drinking outposts, the lyrical content of Half Stack’s
music contains a hardworking spirit that is matched only by the
wholesome and warm tones of the three guitars. Their relentless yet
refined riffage defines the songs and produces a digestible and
relatable catalogue. In the past year, the band has been playing up
and down the west coast and got the nod from NPR with musical features
in its national broadcasts. Half Stack
has been recording its first full-length album and preparing for a tour
through time and space.
