Death Bells at 720 Club Patio
Sydney band Death Bells traverse the boundaries between jangled-guitar post-punk and anthemic, contemporary indie rock. Their debut album 'Standing At The Edge Of The World' is awash with melancholia and immediacy. Songs lend themselves to a sense of drive bundled with pop sensibilities, which has seen the group garner a loyal international following.
'Standing At The Edge Of The World' aims to articulate instances of human strength and self-preservation. Songs voyeuristically interpolate hardship of all kinds with positivity. There are songs about loss, addiction, stagnation and giving up.
The band are set for a busy 2018, with a new 7" forthcoming on Burning Rose & Funeral Party early in the year.
