“Landing somewhere between My Bloody Valentine's poppiest moments, Wavves least bratty missives, the result is something like if Nirvana had had a surf rock phase." – Noisey
“Brooklyn via LA Pink Mexico plays a gritty brand of fuzz rock, but their airy melodies with psychedelic inflections counteract the harshness of their distorted sound.” – The Deli
“…the kind of fuzzy, driving garage punk that you can always trust Burger to put out.”
– BrooklynVegan

After playing drums for countless other bands, including Shilpa Ray, Robert Preston went for a change and began his solo project, Pink Mexico. After moving from Brooklyn to Los Angeles, Preston self-released the first Pink Mexico LP, pnik mxeico, in June of 2013, attracting the attention of Austin-based record label Fleeting Youth Records, who then re-released pnik mxeico the following December. Pink Mexico became a 3-piece live band in late Fall of 2015 including members Ian Everall and Grady Walker. In 2016 Preston put out his sophomore effort "Fool" via Burger Records and Big Tomato Records (UK). After 3 North American tours Preston and company began recording what will be the 3rd Pink Mexico album.
