Payambó was born in Bogota - Colombia in 2009 by merging folk rhythms of Colombian Atlantic such as garabato, cumbia, mapale, puya and bailes cantaos  (among others) also world rhythms such as Rock and Dub, in other words it´s a fusión that has special emphasis in the roots of Colombian folklore and it´s origin. To this merger we call it "Rocklore". 

After the “Indio Blanco Tour 2016”, a promotional tour that took place in Bogotá, Cali, Tuluá, Medellín and Mexico, where the band was invited to participate in the 26th International Festival Quimera Art and Culture, with Colombia being the guest country and positioning Payambó as one of the emerging Colombian bands with great international projection. Payambó held his second international tour, the “Somos Eurotour 2017” with 16 dates throughout Spain, France, Switzerland, Germany, Austria and Holland, were “Colombia Festival” (Frankfurt – DE) and “4° Festival Noches Latinas” (Paris – FR) were part of it. The band finishes with an important performance in one of the most emblematic stages of Bogotá, the Teatro Mayor Julio Mario Santodomingo.
Currently Payambó continues to develop his 2 album and promoting his first album.
