Pale Waves at British Music Embassy @ Latitude 30
Pale Waves are Heather, 22 (vocals and guitar), Ciara, 23 (drums), Hugo, 21 (guitar) and Charlie, 20 (bass) from Manchester. Heather and Ciara have been writing music together for the past five years, and two years ago were joined by Hugo and Charlie to form Pale Waves. They released their debut single ‘There’s a Honey’ earlier this year, followed by ’Television Romance’ and most recently ‘New Year’s Eve’.
The band describe their music as ‘Honest, pop music’ with accolades coming from the likes of Fader - 'Your newest indie-pop obsession’, NME - ‘your new favourite band’ and DIY - ‘dark, glittery pop’, amongst others. The band have also had support from BBC Introducing in Manchester and Stoke, Radio 1 (with a BBC Introducing playlist on their debut single There’s A Honey), Radio 2 and they played the BBC Introducing Stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend and Reading & Leeds. Pale Waves also joined The 1975 as special guests on their North American tour earlier this year, before heading out on their own headline UK, European and North American tours. Pale Waves debut EP will be released in March with a second headline UK and European tour in Spring 2018.
