GHOSTS

Soviet have been pioneers of synth pop and electronic music for nearly two decades. Initially as a big part of New York’s turn of the century music scene, they played numerous shows and toured the country alongside bands like Add N to X, The Killers, The Faint, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs as well as many others. Lush analog synthesizers and poignant lyrics fueled their first album “We Are Eyes, We Are Builders”, which has become a cult classic - gaining reissues on Burger Records in 2011 and vinyl on Medical Records in 2017. While many bands from that era have come and gone, Soviet continue to create genre defining music. The bands Founder Keith Ruggerio has also stayed busy, releasing various other albums such as “KAR Songs - Moving Pictures”, and the soundtrack to Trevin Matcek’s sci-fi film “Life Begins At Rewirement”. This experience piqued the interest for Soviet to write another full length. Soviet’s third album “Ghosts” released in 2015 on Burger Records and Rosso Corsa. Soviet is poised to release a new full length in spring 2018 followed by a nationwide tour.
