Sonars are a two piece Electro-Psych outfit from Brighton (UK) and Bergamo (IT).
The band was founded by Frederick Paysden and Serena Oldrati, who share guitar, keyboard, synthesizer and bass playing duties whilst also singing, thanks to the use of loop stations and drum machines, which they use to recreate their songs live layer by layer, drawing inspiration from Alt Rock, Psych Rock and Trip Hop.

Since their debut release in 2015 they have performed over 250 concerts throughout Europe, including appearances at major European showcase festivals such as Europavox (FR), Eurosonic Noorderslag (NL), Maifeld Derby (DE), BIME (ES), MIL (PT) and Arezzo Wave (IT) sharing the bill with international acts such as Slowdive, The Last Shadow Puppets, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Thurston Moore, The Prodigy, Ride, Temples and Primal Scream.
