Pommez Internacional
This performance is part of the showcase that starts on Wednesday, March 14at Speakeasy Kabaret
POMMEZ INTERNACIONAL is a Buenos Aires based collective project founded in 2010 by Juan Ibarlucía and Hernán Ballotta. Their music – once defined as the sound of two cars crashing at 130 km/h – captures the experience of living in a Latin American metropolis in its full dimension: Vibrant yet chaotic, violent but beautiful. Their songs - inhabited by city bandits and Yoruba goddesses – portray the neverending quest for beauty and enlightenment in the context of 21st century dystopia.
Troughout their short career, Pommez Internacional have toured extensively both in Argentina and abroad, playing a large number of concerts in United States, Mexico, Peru, Germany and Spain, becoming one of the most innovative new acts Argentina has to offer.
They have shared stage with important acts such as Foals, Javiera Mena, Camila Moreno, Hello Seahorse!, Enjambre, Jonáz, Little Jesus, Buraka Som Sistema, El Mató a un Policía Motorizado, Russian Red, The Raveonettes and Sky Ferreira, to name a few.
They are currently promoting their latest album titled "Canto Serpiente" (Capricornio, 2016), and SXSW 2018 will mark the start of a long North American tour for the group.
