Rakeem Ishmauel Mahammad Williams (born on February 19, 1994), better known by his stage name Rocky Banks, is an American alternative Hip-Hop music artist from Houston, TX. Rocky Banks has released 2 mixtapes, In Other News, I Don’t Do Drugs Anymore (2015), Trust In Banko (2017). In his early career, Banks drug habits and battle with depression began to take a strong presence in his life. With a second chance at life, the experience gave a new breath to Houston talents message and brand. He made a choice to check in to rehabilitation and use his platform to inspire other to acknowledge and pursue self-improvement. These chain of events would be responsible for the inspiration to launch his own label and create his debut solo project. Banks began to gain recognition following the late 2015/early 2016 release of his first solo album, "In Other News I Don't Do Drugs Anymore," which first introduced the artist's personal hardships and his acceptance of drug addiction. Following the release of this project, Banks received cosigns from The Fader, Hip-Hop DX, Los Angles Leakers, & Revolt TV.
