SECRET SANDS is taking nods from the past all while bringing it all together into the NOW. Influences are noted to iconic and like minded artist such as Can, Neu, Kraftwerk, Suicide, Goblin, Bauhaus, Psychic TV, Cabaret Voltaire et al.. Their live show brings together real time synth / drum machine modulations / syncopations, dissonant guitar workings, provoking vocals & surreal visuals.
The terms “Kraut Rock”, “Psyche Industrial”, “Dark Synth Disco” “Cult Soundtrack Music” “Weirdo Techno” were thrown around in conversations & write up’s and reviews. The duo maintained a solid schedule since 2016/17 performing on bills w/ like minded acts - Drab Majesty, The Octopus Project, Xander Harris, The Warlocks, Holy Wave, Youth Code, Bestial Mouths, Liars, Ceephax Acid Crew and a stellar band DJ set in front of thousands directly opening for APHEX TWIN’s only 2016 performance at the noteworthy Day for Night Music and Art festival in Houston, TX.
