CANCELLED: Trump Means Millennials Must Dive Into Politics

This session will be replaced with “Ridesharing Had a Seat at the Trump Table – But We Quit?”

Millennials will be disproportionately affected by Trump Administration policy, yet they have no place at the decision-making tables throughout government. That lack of representation doesn't sit well with 25-year-old activist and non-profit founder, Erin Schrode, who ran for US Congress in the last election cycle. Her campaign redefined civic engagement, reinvigorated a culture of public service, and expanded the definition of politician, while adding value to society through clear policy positions and innovative use of media to take campaign messages to a generation and nation. Technology had democratized the playing field, making it possible for young people and political outsiders to strategize, announce, and lead competitive bids for office that shift the conversation, bringing new voices and perspectives into government and policy arenas.
