Mexico is building a strong ecosystem to help entrepreneurs. There has been an increased support from investors, effective public policies and business service providers such as mentors and consultants who have understood the need to strengthen this environment to build more success stories. “Casa México” in SXSW is an example of a private-public partnership installed as a platform for Mexican entrepreneurs to present their ideas and build the strategic networks needed for their business to grow and go global.
Mexico's venture capital industry is fairly young but in recent years, its activity has been on the rise. As Mexican banks do not typically lend to new companies, other investors are needed to help entrepreneurs launch their businesses.
In this session you will be able to learn about Casa México and to meet Mexican venture capital funds and Mexican Startups sharing their success stories on how to obtain financing both in Mexico and in the United States.
