Hats Off to Nat Hentoff
The music world lost a giant on January 7th when Nat Hentoff, a pioneer of alternative journalism, passed away at age 91. Though perhaps best known as the Village Voice jazz critic for 50 years or through his lengthy liner notes on albums by Bob Dylan and many more, Hentoff also tirelessly championed freedom of the press, a relevant issue today.
